An instructed session to start the year with, and a refresh for the Curtin group and some good stuff at Atwell this weekend!

Greetings all and a holy new year!

First up, yours truly is running some drawing sessions on Fridays in February. These are at the Art Space Collective in Scarborough from 10-12:30pm.

Full details on the sessions and to sign up can be found here, and the Facebook event is here.

The Curtin group has updated their website, and it can now be found here and they have a full line up of upcoming models, and there are some great ones on the list.

And speaking of great things happening at groups, the Atwell group on Sunday’s have been cracking lately, so much so that they’ll be having two sessions this coming Sunday. The morning session from 9-12 is standard fare with two models, with the afternoon session (12:30-3:30) a seated portrait session with a model who will apparently be heading back to France soon. Sounds like awesome stuff.

Happy drawing people!

Master of Late!

Greetings all,

It has indeed been awhile since my last post (240 days apparently, at least that is what WordPress is telling me)! I blame the new baby for that. I think I can still get away with that for another few months yet.

A couple of updates about some sessions. First up, the Curtin sessions have moved from Tuesday to Wednesday nights. All of the details are the same. This means that if you are looking to satisfy your drawing itch on Tuesday’s nights, I highly recommend hitting up Sebastian’s sessions. The details are on the Tuesday’s page.

Secondly, the Wednesday morning sessions have moved from Hackett Hall. When I get the full details I’ll update it ASAP.

A model update and a change in format for a week

Greetings all!We had a crazy busy night last Monday. Super crazy. Which was great to see. Especially as we had an impromptu clothed session with Nicola gracing us with her Wonder Woman costume and a burlesque outfit, alongside Molly who is seven months pregnant (we may try to get her in one more time before she is due).

This coming Monday (the 1st) we’ll be having in Leah, who haven’t had in in awhile now.

The following week we’ll be having something a bit different. Two models, Jane plus newcomer Jodie (who just recently joined the scene from what I understand, but takes part in a great deal of cabaret dancing). One will be clothed for the first hour while the second is nude, then vice-versa for the second hour. We’ll also be trying a different format time-wise. For the first hour the format will be: 2x5min, 3x10min, 1x20min. Then we’re going to repeat that for the second hour as well. Let’s see how that works out!

A reminder that the Drawing School is on again this Sunday (look at the Sunday tab for all the info)!

And one last reminder that the Tuesday night at Curtin has switched rooms (Tuesday tab for all the info).

Happy drawing everyone!

A model update, general info, and some drawing classes

Greetings all,
Terribly sorry about this late update!
Thank you everyone for coming out lately, the last couple of weeks have seen the numbers start to bounce back after quite a dip. I guess tea and coffee was all it took?
Our model for this coming Monday (the 3rd) will be Ron. The following week will be with a new model model, Shontay.

In news about other sessions:
Tracy’s Drawing School will be on again tomorrow (the 2nd), and from then through to the end of September, anyone who heads out will get a stamp for my group on their card (like what I did with Sebastian’s Mt Hawthorn group when it first started). Head on over to drawingschool.com.au to find out more about her group.
As the numbers have started to slide back down for Sebastian’s group, we’ve decided to reinstate the stamp system at his group through to the end of August, so get out there people!
The Curtin Tuesday night group will be back this week (the 4th) after a brief hiatus with what sounds to be a pretty cool clothed session.

Drawing Classes!
Earlier this year I did a two week workshop at The Art Space Collective in Scarborough. Well I’m doing it again, and due to feedback it’s changed a bit.
First off, it will be over four weeks, and be on Saturdays from 2-5pm (as opposed to middle of the week during the day as it was before). The first two weeks will be without a model as it covers drawing techniques and the basics, while the following two weeks will have a model to apply those techniques on in an instructed environment.
Anyone interested can head over to https://theartspacecollective.com/bookings to sign up.

And that’s it!

Keep drawing, but please don’t hurt people while doing so!
