A model update for a fantastical session!

Greetings all! We’re coming close to the end of the year for us, and to celebrate we have a pretty awesome session coming up this Monday.

Our models will be the fantastic Xanthea and Martha. They will pose nude for the first hour, and for the second Xanthea will do a series of short poses as she gets into her living statue attire before ending on a 20min pose in full garb. And while she’s getting dressed, Martha will be rocking a 1920s garb for two 20min poses and ending on two 10min poses in what will be our final clothed session for the year.

All that, plus, Kensingtons and Iced Vovos!

Cheers – Christopher

A model update all over the place

Greetings all!

This coming Monday over at UWA we’ll be having in the living statue herself, Xanthea, along with newish to Perth from Canada, Bonnie (I say newish as she was modelling down in Margaret River for a couple of months).

On Sunday, the Drawing School will be having in the lovely Jodie. Even though she is new to the field of life modelling, was actually able to hold her own with quite well with the pro Jane when we had the two of them in a few weeks ago.

Speaking of Sunday, Erwin has informers me that he is no longer running his sessions on Sundays. That being said, his Thursday night sessions are starting back up this coming Thursday (the 14th) with the start time of 6:30pm. The model he’ll be having that night is the always awesome Martha. For those of you looking for a session with longer poses, you should certainly check them out (all the details are on the Thursday page).

Happy drawing, people!

Monday night @ UWA and Sunday with a statue

Greetings all, at the Monday night UWA sessions coming up we have Travis in next week (the 17th), and the following week we’ll be having a double female session with Nicola and Molly (who will be 33 weeks at that point, so this will be the last time we have her in for a very long time I’m sure).

This coming Sunday (the 16th) at the Drawing School, they’ll be having in the living statue, Xanthea, who will be starting off nude and slowly dress in her statue attire during the session. This sounds awesome, and not to be missed. And just a reminder that if you head out to any of the Sunday sessions at the Drawing School till the end of September, you’ll get a stamp towards my sessions on Monday nights (for those who do not know, I have a frequent drawer card, when you come out to five sessions you get the sixth free, so this way you can double dip… actually triple dip as you can also get them if you head to the Mt Hawthorn sessions on Tuesday nights).

Happy drawing everybody!

Model line-up for the next couple of weeks

Greetings all,

I hope everyone is having themselves a good weekend.

This coming Monday (the 25th), we’ll be having a double female model session with the living statue, Xanthea, and new to the scene Becca.

The following week, June 1st, WA Day, Jules will be running the session for me with Ashlea (from the Curtin Tuesday night group) being our model for the evening. This is the first public holiday we’re going to be running on, so here’s hoping we get a good turnout. If so we’ll keep doing it.

The week after that, June 8th, we’ll be having in new-for-us Cassie.

Big thanks again to Sebastian for running the Sesson for me last Monday on such short notice.

Happy drawing people!

Life drawing everywhere!

Hello all!

So a few updates about our own group, and some of the other ones in the city.

First up, incoming models! Three new models over the next three weeks:
February 16 – Xanthea, a classical dance trained street statue performer.
February 23 – Peter, a Norwegian/Indonesian student of Vovinam (a Vietnamese martial arts).
March 2 – Martha, a red headed model that comes highly recommended by some members of our group.

Our exhibition:
I have confirmed this week that our opening night will be March 6th, with the show running through to the following weekend. We start setting up on March 4th, and we take down the 14th. As with previous years, you can put up as much as you like and set your own sale price, just keep in mind that the gallery keeps 10% (which is quite measly for any of you with gallery experience). I’ll be making up a flyer for early next week for everyone to distribute if they’d like.

Other venues!
The Bassendean group has changed both venues and days. They are now on Monday mornings (as opposed to Tuesdays) and are now located at the Basso Community Hall (same time of 9:30-12:30, and price of $15).

The Art Space Collective is a new centre in Scarborough. They run sessions on Thursday mornings, Tuesday evenings (with lights and props and such), and over the next two Wednesdays I’ve been asked to run drawing classes there (instructed, three hours each day from 9:30-12:30, with a model for the final two hours). You can find out more about them on http://www.theartspacecollective.com or their Facebook page.

Happy drawing everyone!
